• Possesses, or pursuing final level, of a professional qualification
• Practical knowledge of IFRSs and ISAs

Tax Professionals

• Management of the firm’s Tax function including three staff members
• Preparation of tax computations
• Liaising with the Guyana Revenue Authority including the Internal Revenue and Value Added Tax Departments
• Personal and corporate tax planning
• Providing tax advice including research and interpreting of tax cases worldwide

Requirements:

• 2 to 3 years relevant (tax) experience
• Possesses, or pursuing final level, of a professional qualification
• Practical knowledge of tax laws in Guyana or any country with similar tax systems
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Word and Excel

Consultant / Head of Entrepreneurial Services Department

Ram and McRae is seeking to build its team of professionals. We are inviting applications from suitably qualified and experienced candidates for the position of Manager for our Entrepreneurial Services section.

Responsibilities:

• Management of the firm’s Entrepreneurial, Corporate Legal, Recruitment Services and Information Technology functions
• Preparation of business plans, business valuations
• Personal and corporate financial planning, financial restructuring
• Conduct interviews, surveys, training workshops

Requirements:

• Minimum of University degree (preferably a Masters degree) or other professional qualification (ACCA/CPA/CIMA) with at least three years post-graduate experience.
• Experienced in working independently and as part of a team
• Ability to conduct research (field, internet, library)
• Excellent command of the English language
• Familiarity with Accounting Standards and the Laws of Guyana would be an asset
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access
• Flexibility to travel and overnight out of Georgetown / out of Guyana
• A valid driver’s licence would be an asset
